    Disappointment

    Sadly I need to tell that the support service leaves much to be desired, I ve been asking for 3 days to do a simple thing: to send me a banking statement, I am in Thai, and I can not visit the office and I can not call ( waiting is way too long and they abrupt calls) so I am trying to get in touch via letters and looks like the bank is not able to send me the digital bank statment . 21st century . I am very disappointed with this foreign customers support.

    Avoid them

    I don’t recommend this bank for foreign customers. It takes ages for them to process SWIFT transfer. They also take higher commissions for transactions. To enable online payment you need to fill a paper (with the same data, you already filled when opening account). Yes, in 21th century they still process paper documents. Also support ignoring you in whatsapp or responding in general words.

    bad bank experience

    my money was lost while transfering using ‘peoples wave’. mobile app provided by peoples bank on 4th january 2023.i informed to AGM digital banking,manager of the branch,and hotline,but still up todate my money not recoverd.this may be oart of a fraud done by a party. everybody have to be vigilent in the transactions with peoples bank .so dissapointed .

  5. The Bandarawela branch is so bad.
    It is situated in the Sinhagiri building. I am waiting 2 hours for did my work. The one security handles most of the things in the bank. The staff is so lazy. The bank layout is so bad. Security doesn’t know how to speak to their customers.

    Worst bank that i have ever seen in Sri Lanka. Customer retention is very poor. They don’t know how to treat customers and they do not take any responsibility on their customers.
    They don’t know how to deal with customers in professional manner.
    Disgusting
    I never recommend this bank for anyone.

    Awful bank.Only one counter open.even way before covid season. even young staff at people’s bank very slow.please send them to retirement immediately and hire some active people.rude staff and security guard please teach customer service before working
