Todat 5 May 2026 at 10.01 am tried to call Sampath customer service number. For 11 .09 minutes I was on hold none of the agent answer the call. I have been a customer with Sampath Bank since 1992. I am first shareholder of Sampath bank in first IPO.

never thought Sampath bank will go down this level of poor service.For sure I will move my account to state owned bank which is more efficient.

Im a kurunegala branch customer. Im came for branch 12:30 and still i cant open a new saving account. Because of too much time to go one customer..
please kurnegala super branch i ever see before same. And staff must be quickly do that service.
Please do some necessary thing for future customers.

I waited around 40 minutes, and only after that was I informed that I needed to bring a letter. This could and should have been communicated at the beginning. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional service.
On top of that, the charges are unreasonable high fees for SMS alerts, annual maintenance, and card services. What’s worse is that these charges are not clearly communicated to customers in advance. Lack of transparency and poor service make this a very frustrating experience👎

I have only dealt with the Nawam Mawatha Branch, and I must say their service is excellent and much better than government banks. The customer service is outstanding. No matter how many times we ask questions, the staff always respond patiently, with the same friendly attitude and a smile. I truly appreciate their service.

Recently, my mother also shared her experience with the Nugegoda Branch, and she mentioned that the staff there are equally professional and helpful, just like at my branch.

Panadure branch is the worst Sampath branch I have visited, I had been waiting for more than one hour in Queue there were four five counters but 3 of them were working, there were no specific counters for cheque and cash deposit like Commercial bank. I hope Sampath bank panadure branch will consider above messages.

Overall, brilliant service compared to other banks. Doesn\'t waste time, employees are very friendly. Bank app has significant room for improvement. It glitches, but gets sh*t done.

Based on my experience, this is the worst bank in Sri Lanka!
Very disappointing experience with Sampath Bank Card Center. A confirmed refund balance of LKR 26,586.04 disappeared from my WebCard despite repeated SMS confirmations, Vishwa records, and bank confirmations. I followed all instructions for weeks and months, sent emails, handwritten letters, and made many calls, but the issue remains unresolved with no proper response. This problem blocked my Facebook Ads payments and caused serious business losses. So I strongly advise others, especially online business users, to be very careful when using Sampath Bank facilities.

I\'m with Sampath bank for more than 2 decades now. Currently going through the worst online banking experience I\'ve ever had. May be they\'ve upgraded their online banking portal with the intention with giving a better experience to the customers but it\'s an utter failure.
- not user friendly at all
- system crashing all the time.
- not easy to navigate.
- super slow system
- sometimes taking more than 30 minutes to do a single transactions.

Making a transaction in your new banking portal is a total nightmare. Please reverse it back to what it used to be 🙏
